Scope
This section describes the comparative calibration of linear vibration sensors. Although this section mainly describes the calibration method for direct comparison with an absolute calibrated reference sensor, the method can also be used between different levels in the calibration system. calibration. This part describes in detail the steps to calibrate the linear vibration sensor using the comparison method within the range of vibration frequency from 0.4 Hz to 10 kHz. It is primarily aimed at vibration measurements using standard methods under laboratory conditions with relatively small measurement uncertainties. It can also be used for measurements in field conditions where the measurement uncertainty may be large. All important sources of uncertainty will affect the calibration results, and this section also gives a method for evaluating the expanded uncertainty. It contains an estimate of the uncertainty when calibration is performed using a check standard. The environmental conditions of the comparison method calibration in this part should be consistent with the reference sensor calibration. Note: Calibration of sensors under extreme environmental conditions is covered by other standards.
