Warning—Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in regular laboratory work. This standard does not address all possible safety issues. Users are responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures and ensuring compliance with the conditions stipulated in relevant national regulations. This part of SC/T 7202 specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, operating procedures and result determination of the PCR detection method for baculovirus disease in Penaeus monodon. This section is suitable for pathogen screening and disease diagnosis. Among them, the nuclear polyhedron gene conserved sequence method is only applicable to the screening and preliminary diagnosis of MBV in shrimps, including live shrimps, feces, and frozen and chilled shrimp products. When used alone, it is not suitable for estimating viral load or infectious activity and assessing the extent of host infection.
