Scope
This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of castings. These castings have been used typically for components requiring high strength combined with good ductility and impact strength, but usage is not limited to such applications. Certain design and processing procedures may cause these castings to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking.
