- Scope
- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of silicon carbide sealing rings for mechanical seals. This standard applies to reaction sintered silicon carbide, pressureless sintered silicon carbide (solid phase, liquid phase, carbon addition), and hot-pressed sintered silicon carbide sealing rings (hereinafter referred to as sealing rings) for mechanical seals.
