Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, storage and transportation of platinum catalysts used for ammonia oxidation to nitric acid. This standard is applicable to reticulated platinum catalysts used in the oxidation of ammonia to produce nitric acid, hydrocyanic acid and caprolactam.
