Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the design and installation of fuel oil and electrical system components installed onboard gasoline engines in order to minimize fuel oil leakage and prevent ignition of surrounding flammable gases on small boats with a hull length not greater than 24m. This standard does not apply to the following types of engines: - Personal boat engines as defined in IS0 13590; - Outboard motors.
