Scope
This standard is applicable to the rotating motors with anti-corona layer in the groove of the voltage level 6kV and above, or the rotating motor with open coil. The measurement method of this standard is also applicable to the motor without anti-corona layer in the groove, but the test results will be different. Standards are not involved in this evaluation. This standard defines the terminology of partial discharge of rotating electrical machines, recommended test procedures and general requirements for instruments, test methods, test results and test evaluation criteria. Partial discharge measurement should include the following: a) measurement system and instruments; b) test circuit layout; c) standardization of test procedures; d) noise reduction; e) test result files; f) test result evaluation. This standard mainly specifies the electrical measurement method for off-line partial discharge measurement of stator windings of rotating electrical machines using AC power with a frequency of 0.1 Hz to 400 Hz.
