Scope: This standard specifies the requirements for base materials, equipment, penetrating agents, metal penetrating processes and post-processing, infiltrated layer quality inspection and safety technology involved in chromium infiltration, vanadium infiltration and niobium infiltration of steel parts in borax molten salt. This standard is applicable to finished steel or cast iron products and semi-finished workpieces to be polished that require surface wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is not applicable to workpieces to be ground.
