This part specifies the methods and requirements for mechanical separation of electronic and electrical products into various types of homogeneous materials or detection units for the determination of hazardous substances. This section applies to the mechanical disassembly of electronic and electrical products (including parts and components) with a rated voltage AC not exceeding 1000V and DC not exceeding 1500V. Products covered in this section include but are not limited to the following categories:
——Large household appliances;
——Small household appliances;
——Information technology and communication equipment;
——Audio and video equipment;
——Lighting equipment;
——Electronic and electrical tools (Except large-sized specific industrial appliances);
——Toys, amusement and sports equipment;
——Vending machines.
