This standard provides guidelines for the use of mechanical disassembly, chemical analysis and compliance evaluation standards for the detection of toxic and hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products. This standard is applicable to equipment designed with rated voltage AC not exceeding 1000V and DC not exceeding 1500V, which rely on current or electromagnetic field for normal operation, as well as equipment used to generate, transmit and measure these currents and magnetic fields. These equipment include but are not limited to the following Categories:
