Scope

This standard specifies the principles, instruments and equipment, test procedures, test results and precision of volatile matter determination of carbon materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of volatile content of carbon materials such as calcined coke, calcined coal, needle coke, graphite products, roasted products and carbon pastes in carbon products.
