Scope

This standard specifies the phenol disulfonate colorimetric method for the determination of nitrate ions in various waters. This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrate ions in coal mine industrial water, domestic water, surface water, and groundwater. When 50mL of test water sample is taken, the concentration range of nitrate ions measured is 0.2-8 mg/L. Diluting water samples can expand the measurement range.
