Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging and storage of vertical axis mechanical surface aeration devices. This standard applies to vertical axis mechanical surface aeration devices (hereinafter referred to as surface aerators) used in sewage treatment.
