Scope

This standard specifies a test method for the determination of the shear strength of plastics using a circular perforator by means of compression perforation. This standard applies to rigid thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, including filled plastics and fiber-reinforced composites. This standard does not apply to foam plastics.
