Scope

This standard specifies the configuration of optical interfaces of synchronous digital system systems and equipment, optical interface classification and application codes, definitions and requirements of optical interface parameters, and optical interface parameter values. This standard is applicable to the transmission system and equipment of the synchronous digital system, and can also be applied to the optical transport network system and equipment using the optical interface of the synchronous digital system.
