- This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of spray-type seawater desalination devices (hereinafter referred to as devices). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of devices that use hot water or hot water and steam as heat sources, using spray methods, vacuum boiling distillation, and convert seawater into fresh water.
