This standard specifies the test method for the determination of hydrogen sulfide content in natural gas by the lead acetate reaction rate method. This standard applies to the determination of hydrogen sulfide (H.S) content in natural gas. The air is undisturbed. Applicable hydrogen sulfide content (volume fraction θ ranges from 0.1×10 to l6×10~, about 0.1 m9/m3 to 22 m9/m3; and can be extended to 100% hydrogen sulfide by manual or automatic volume dilution. Also Applicable to the determination of hydrogen sulfide content in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), natural gas substitutes and fuel gas mixtures. This standard does not address all the safety issues related to its application. Before use, the user of this standard is responsible for formulating corresponding Safety and health measures, and clarify their limited scope of application.
