- Scope
- This standard applies to filament bulbs used as headlamps, fog lamps and signal lamps of road motor vehicles, and specifies the test methods and technical requirements for basic interchangeability (dimensions and photoelectric performance). It applies to those bulbs covered by the regulations. In particular, it includes those bulbs covered by Regulation No. 37 of the Geneva Agreement of 20 March 1958 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) on the adoption of uniform conditions of approval and mutual recognition of road motor vehicle equipment and components . Note: For road motor vehicle lighting equipment, the term "filament bulb" is generally used to denote an incandescent bulb (see ISO 7227 and ECE Regulation No. 37). This standard takes this into account. Specific filament bulb varieties are listed in Chapter 4. This standard serves as the basis for evaluating consistency. This standard includes the following specific contents: a) Requirements for batch products of filament bulbs. B) Requirements for standard filament bulbs. The requirements for filament bulbs, such as lifespan, luminous flux maintenance, torsional strength, vibration resistance and impact resistance, are specified in GB/T15766.2. Information such as temperature limits and maximum dimensions of filament bulbs are also included in GB/T 15766.2 to guide the design of lighting devices, and GB/T 15766.2 is not used as the basis for judging type approval or batch product consistency by authoritative organizations. Filament bulbs for road motor vehicles that are not covered by regulations and are used for auxiliary purposes are specified in GB/T 15766.3.
