Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of wood activated carbon for water purification. This standard applies to amorphous granular activated carbon produced from wood, which is mainly used for the purification of drinking water, alcohol, and various refreshing beverages. This standard does not apply to specially processed activated carbon for water purification, such as silver-loaded activated carbon for water purification.
