Scope
This standard specifies the definition and symbols, symbols, principles, test equipment and requirements, sample preparation, dilatometer calibration, measurement procedures, calculation of measurement results, test reports, accuracy and deviation, etc. . This standard applies to the detection of linear thermal expansion of metal material samples in the temperature range of -180 to 900 ° C by means of components composed of the same fused silica carrier and push rod. It is also applicable to ceramics, refractory materials, glass, rocks, etc. Detection of linear thermal expansion of samples with rigid solid characteristics; if high-purity alumina components are used instead, the temperature range can be extended to 1600°C; if isotropic graphite is used instead, the temperature range can be extended to 2500°C.
