This standard applies to electromechanical contactors for household and similar purposes, the main contacts of which are used to connect rated voltage not exceeding AC 440V, rated working current less than or equal to 63A under use category AC-7a, and rated work under use category AC-75 Circuits with current less than or equal to 32A and rated limited short-circuit current less than or equal to 5kx. Contactors applicable to this standard are generally not intended to break short-circuit currents, and should therefore be used with appropriate short-circuit protective devices installed as part of them (see 9.3.4). This standard does not apply to the following electrical appliances: Contactors in accordance with GB 14048.4; Semiconductor contactors; Contactors for special purposes; Auxiliary contacts of contactors (see GB 14048.5 for relevant requirements). This standard stipulates the following requirements: The characteristics of the contactor; The contactor should meet the following requirements: Operation and performance; Dielectric performance; Enclosure protection level; The test procedures and the number of samples to be tested; the parameters that should be provided by the contactor or the parameters that should be provided in the manufacturer's sample.
