This standard specifies the determination of iron oxide content by o-phenanthrene photometry and flame atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of iron oxide content in limestone and dolomite (calculated as ferric oxide), and also applies to the determination of iron oxide content in metallurgical lime. The first part is o-phenanthrene photometry, measuring range: 0.02% to 4.00% of iron oxide; the second flame atomic absorption spectrometry, measuring range: 0.05% to 2.00% of iron oxide.
