Scope
Personnel using this section should have formal laboratory work experience. This section does not point out all possible safety issues, the user is responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures, and ensuring compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. This part of GB/T 3286 specifies the determination of silicon dioxide content by silicon molybdenum blue spectrophotometry and perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method. This section applies to the determination of silica content in limestone and dolomite, and also applies to the determination of silica content in metallurgical lime. Molybdenum blue spectrophotometry, measuring range (mass fraction): silica content 0.05% to 4.0%; perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method, measuring range (mass fraction): silica content greater than 2.0%.
