Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of flame-retardant protective clothing (hereinafter referred to as flame-retardant clothing). This standard applies to flame-resistant clothing worn by workers engaged in operations with open flames, sparks, near molten metals, and places with flammable substances and fire hazards.
