- Scope
- This standard specifies a rapid method for the determination of unsaponifiable matter in animal and vegetable oils and fats by three extractions with hexane. This standard applies to all greases. Not for wax. Compared with the first part of the standard method, the measured results are less systematic, especially for oils with high unsaponifiable content, such as marine animal fats.
