Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics and test methods of gas ionizing radiation detectors used in nuclear reactor measurement systems, control systems and protection systems. This standard applies to neutron proportional counters (BF₃ counters, ³He counters, ¹⁰B counters), fission ionization chambers (fission pulse ionization chambers, fission current ionization chambers) chamber), neutron ionization chamber (gamma compensated neutron ionization chamber, no gamma compensated neutron ionization chamber, and gamma ionization chamber.
