Scope
This document describes the determination of mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of fiber metal laminates using single cantilever beam (sing l ec an til eve rbe am, SCB) samples and double cantilever beam (doub l ec an til eve rbe am, DCB) samples (GIC) Test principle, test equipment, samples, state adjustment, test process, calculation and result display, test report of the test method. This document is applicable to the determination of the critical energy release rate (GIC), load-displacement curve, and GIC crack growth resistance curve (R curve) of fiber metal laminates and composites with type I interlaminar fracture.
