Scope
This document specifies the equipment, sample preparation, standard sample, selection of analytical test conditions, spectral line overlap correction, analysis steps, result processing and test report for electronic probe measurement of sulfide mineral composition. This document is applicable to electron probe quantitative analysis of sulfide minerals and minerals such as arsenide, antimonide, bismuth, telluride and selenide which are stable under electron beam bombardment. This document applies to quantitative analysis performed by electron probes, and also applies to quantitative analysis performed by scanning electron microscopes equipped with spectrometers.
