Scope

This document applies to performance tests of dry vacuum cleaners used in household and similar conditions. The purpose of this document is to specify the basic performance parameters of dry vacuum cleaners of interest to users and to describe the methods for testing these parameters. Note 1: Due to the influence of environmental conditions, time changes, testing materials and operating level, when conducting comparative tests of multiple appliances, when the test is carried out at the same time, in the same laboratory and by the same operator, most of the test methods will more reliable results can be obtained. Note 2: This document does not apply to cordless vacuum cleaners. For safety requirements, see IEC60335 1 and IEC60335 2
