Scope
This standard specifies the method for magnetic flux leakage detection using external magnetization for wall thickness loss of ferromagnetic pipe fittings. This standard is applicable to the online detection of wall thickness loss of ferromagnetic pipe fittings (except welded pipes) with an outer diameter of not less than 10mm and a wall thickness of not greater than 20mm during the manufacturing, processing and repair processes. This standard is also applicable to the automatic detection of wall thickness loss of petroleum pipes and end-thickened steel pipes.
