- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of residual stress ultrasonic body wave testing, personnel requirements, testing points, testing systems, longitudinal and transverse wave acoustic elastic coefficient calibration, testing procedures, testing instrument calibration and testing report writing requirements. This standard is applicable to the detection of residual stress in materials using ultrasonic body waves.
