Scope
This part specifies methods for the determination of sulfur, vanadium, sodium, calcium, silicon, iron, nickel, titanium, aluminum, phosphorus, magnesium, lead, zinc, chromium and manganese in carbon materials for aluminum. This section is applicable to the determination of sulfur, vanadium, sodium, calcium, silicon, iron, nickel, titanium, aluminum, phosphorus, magnesium, lead, zinc, chromium and manganese elements in petroleum coke, calcined petroleum coke and prebaked anodes. Other carbon materials can be used for reference.
