- This standard specifies the non-destructive testing method of coating bonding strength based on ultrasonic principles, including terms and definitions, personnel qualifications, testing methods, ultrasonic testing equipment, testing conditions, testing requirements and test report preparation. This standard applies to coating structures where the coating, substrate and bonding layer are all made of metal and non-metallic materials with good sound transmission properties, including wear-resistant and thermal barrier structural coatings formed by bonding, sintering, chemical and metal bonding.
