Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, test equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, test results and calculations for the resistivity test of metallic conductor materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of volume resistivity and mass resistivity of solid (non-stranded) copper, aluminum and their alloy metal conductor materials, and the resistance per unit length of solid metal conductor materials (uniform cross-sectional area). This standard is also applicable to the determination of volume resistivity, mass resistivity and resistance per unit length of metal resistance materials.
