- This document stipulates the principles, sample preparation, testing equipment, testing methods and testing reports for the content of non-metallic inclusions in steel billets. This document is applicable to the detection of non-metallic inclusions (size not less than 30 μm) in steel billets that have not been rolled, deformed or otherwise processed. Non-metallic inclusions with a size less than 30 μm can also be used as a reference if the equipment permits.
