Scope

This part of GB/T 1094 specifies the terms and definitions, conditions of use, ratings and general requirements for gas-filled power transformers, requirements for transformers with tapped windings, coupling and coupling group designations, nameplates, safety, environment and other Requirements, deviations, tests, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), high-frequency operating transients, grounding terminals, and information required for inquiries and orders. This part applies to three-phase and single-phase gas-filled power transformers (including autotransformers), but does not include some small and special transformers, such as: --- Single-phase transformers with rated capacity less than 1kVA and three-phase transformers with rated capacity less than 5kVA; ---Transformers with rated voltage of all windings not higher than 1000V; ---Transformers; ---Electric locomotive traction transformers; ---Starting transformers; ---Test transformers; ---Welding transformers. When there is no corresponding standard for certain types of transformers (especially industrial special transformers with all winding voltages not higher than 1000V), this section can be applied in whole or in part. This section does not deal with the requirements for transformers installed in public places. For transformers and reactors with relevant standards, this section only applies to the scope of content that is clearly mentioned by their product standards and can be referred to each other. These products (standards) include: --- reactor (GB/T1094.6); --- self-protection transformer (IEC60076 13); --- wind power transformer (GB/T1094.16); --- traction Transformers and traction reactors (GB/T25120); --- Converter transformers for industrial use (GB/T18494.1); --- Converter transformers for HVDC (GB/T18494.2).
