Scope
This part of GB/T20975 specifies the determination of the total content of rare earth elements of the cerium group in aluminum and aluminum alloys by tribromoarsine spectrophotometry and oxalate gravimetric method. This section applies to the arbitration determination of the total content of rare earth elements of the cerium group in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The measurement range of tribromoarsine spectrophotometry: 0.0010% ~ 2.50%; the measurement range of oxalate gravimetric method: 1.50% ~ 16.00%. When the total content of rare earth elements in the cerium group is >1.50% to 2.50%, the oxalate weight method is used as the arbitration method.
