Scope

This part of GB 39800 stipulates the overall requirements for the provision of personal protective equipment (i.e. labor protection equipment) for employers in the petroleum, chemical, and natural gas industries, the identification and assessment of hazard factors, and the provision of personal protective equipment. This section applies to the provision and management of personal protective equipment for employers in the petroleum, chemical and natural gas industries. This section does not apply to the provision and management of personal protective equipment for fire protection by employers in the petroleum, chemical and natural gas industries.
