Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling and storage and transportation requirements of daily protective masks. This standard applies to protective masks worn to filter out particulate matter in air-polluted environments in daily life. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment used in special industries such as hypoxic environments, underwater operations, escape, fire protection, medical and industrial dust protection, nor does it apply to respiratory protective equipment for infants and children.
