This document specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for periodic inspection and evaluation of steel welded gas cylinders used in gas fire extinguishing systems (this document is referred to as "gas cylinders"). This document is applicable to the periodic inspection and assessment of steel welded gas cylinders with a nominal working pressure not greater than 10MPa (gauge pressure) and a nominal volume of 1L to 1000L, used to contain low-pressure liquefied gas and refillable gas fire extinguishing systems. This document does not apply to internally filled gas cylinders, cryogenic gas cylinders, and fire-extinguishing gas cylinders that only bear transient pressure during fire extinguishing but do not bear pressure during storage.
