Scope: This part of GB 7000 specifies the safety requirements for Class I and Class II lamps with built-in transformers or converters for tungsten filament, supply voltage and output voltage not exceeding 1000 V. This section should be read together with the relevant chapters of GB 7000.1 cited. This part of GB 7000 does not apply to Class III lamps. The use of a "Safety Extra Low Voltage" (SELV) transformer or (SELV) converter is not necessary to meet the requirements of this section. However, such transformers or converters may meet the special requirements of this section.
