- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, samples, tests, calculations and test reports of a method for determining the bending strength of ceramic interfaces by four-point bending at room temperature. This standard is applicable to the determination of the bending strength of the interface between ceramics and ceramics, and between ceramics and metals. The bonding interface of other materials can also be referred to for use.
