Scope

Form: This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant steel in the form of bars@ wire@ forgings@ and forging stock. Application: Primarily for nuts and other parts requiring both corrosion and heat resistance up to 1500??(816??. At comparable elevated temperatures@ strength of this steel is slightly higher than@ and oxidation resistance is similar to@ the 18Cr - 8Ni type steels. It is not recommended for use when welding is involved.
