Scope
This document specifies the principle, purpose, method, equipment, failure criterion, procedure, data processing and test report of the involute cylindrical gear contact fatigue strength test. This document is applicable to the determination of the basic data required for the design of the contact fatigue bearing capacity of involute cylindrical gears made of steel or cast iron, and is applicable to the comparison and analysis of the contact fatigue performance of gears under the conditions of different materials, different processes, and different modification methods. . Similar tests for gears made of other materials or non-involute gears can be used as a reference.
