- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, samples, tests, calculations and test reports of the test method for testing the elastic modulus and strength of ceramic thick coatings (>30μm) by the three-point bending method at room temperature. This standard is applicable to the determination of elastic modulus and strength of ceramic thick coatings on metal or ceramic substrates. Other hard and brittle thick coatings (elastic modulus greater than 60GPa) can be used as a reference.
