Scope

This standard specifies the method for the colorimetric determination of ferrous sulfate reacting with potassium ferricyanide to form a blue complex through oxidation. This part of the standard applies to the determination of trace amounts of potassium ferrocyanide in various edible salts, with a detection range of 3-100 μg/50ml (calculated as [Fe(CN)6]4).
