This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models, usage conditions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of non-metallic low-voltage electric energy metering boxes (hereinafter referred to as metering boxes). This standard is applicable to AC 50 Hz, rated voltage 220 V/380 V, rated current (1 A ~ 450 A) used in conjunction with power user power supply lines. The cover is made of transparent polycarbonate (PC) and the base is made of non-transparent polycarbonate. Non-metallic low-voltage electric energy metering box made of injection molded grease (or flame-retardant ABS engineering plastic). This standard does not apply to electric energy metering boxes (cabinets) with metal structures.
