- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, test conditions, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of gear oil pumps. This standard applies to gear oil pumps for internal combustion locomotives (hereinafter referred to as oil pumps), but does not apply to lubricating oil pumps for air compressors.
