Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the yield value of crude oil using a coaxial cylinder rotational viscometer with a shear rate controlled variable. This standard is suitable for determining the yield value of crude oil with a wax content above 5% (m/m) and a water content below 0.5% (m/m). It is also suitable for determining the yield value of crude oil that has been heat treated or treated with additives.
