- This standard specifies requirements for personnel training, personal protective equipment, material selection, and emergency operating procedures in hydrogen sulfide-containing oil and gas production and gas processing operations. This standard applies to oil and gas production and gas processing operations where hydrogen sulfide is contained in the fluid. Due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide combustion in operations, this standard is also applicable to operating environments where hydrogen sulfide combustion produces sulfur dioxide.
